Smoothly edit MOV files in Sony Vegas Pro

Not all "editing" programs can accept all file formats. The Sony Vegas Pro won’t import MOV files smoothly. You can update your Vegas Pro. If there are still some video, audio codec issues while opening, editing MOV files in Vegas, the quick workaround is to transcode MOV files to Vegas Pro natively supported formats (MPG/WMV are highly recommended).

I get an error trying to import QuickTime movies into Sony Vegas Pro. Searched the “ QuickTime MOV and Sony Vegas Pro ” online, and found the other users are also facing the importing problems, like could not get any sound…

Although Sony's tech specs page says "Improved QuickTime AVC decoding for DSLR cameras" and list QuickTime (i.e. MOV) as a supported import format, some MOV files like in H.264 offer extra high compression, not ideal for editing. The MOV video should be transcoded into a format better suited for editing; this would usually be MPEG-2/WMV, which ensures maximum editing quality and efficiency when working with Sony Vegas Pro. So, the best method is to convert MOV to MPEG-2 before loading to Sony Vegas.

Following share a simple guide about importing and editing MOV into Sony Vegas Pro step by step. First of all, free download Brorsoft Video Converter, a top MOV Converter. It is an excellent tool to transcode MOV to MPEG-2/WMV for Sony Vegas Pro. It makes the experience of editing 4K/1080p/720p .mov Video with Sony Vegas Pro as fast and seamless as possible.
